ANA MARIA LEON, Ph.D.

President of Passport to Peace Foundation

Creator of the Passport for Peace program,  is a School Counselor at the Nido de Aguilas International College in Santiago, Chile. Previously, he worked at the Wilton Manors World School in Florida, USA, and as a school psychologist in his native country Venezuela. He obtained his doctorate as a School Counselor at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Leon served as a teacher in several subjects in the Florida Atlantic School Counseling Master’s degree. His research has focused on the area of ​​school climate and academic success, areas he has addressed in different National and International Congresses in the US, Europe and Latin America. 

   In 2002, Dr. Leon created the “Passport for Peace” program,  demonstrating that when children learn to express their social skills in managing temperament control and frustration, they can change the school climate and become respectful, tolerant and compassionate citizens.

   The Program since its inception has received direct awards from several US institutions, such as John Gardner in 2004 awarded by the Association of Directors of Florida State Colleges , in 2008 the Florida State Prize , awarded by SSOC – Florida, State Schools of Character & CEP Character Education Partnership and the national award , by National Forum on Character Education – CEP Character Education Partnership ; in 2012, it was awarded nationally as the best anti – bullying prevention program -National Bullying Prevention Program por School Safety Advocacy Council -Save and FASRO Florida Association of School Resource Officers y finalmente, en el 2013 por la Oficina Federal de los EE.UU., SAMHSA, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration como Service to Science Initiative.

   Dr. León was a finalist in 2006 as a Teacher of the Year in Broward County , in 2008, she received the award as Best Counselor and School Counselor of the Florida State Elementary School, for FSCA-Florida School Counselor Association.  That same year, she qualified as one of the ten best counselors in the entire nation, by ASCA, American School Counselor Association , in 2011 she received the AACE / Core Outstanding Outcome Research Research Award and finally, and 2012 with the Andrés Bello Award for the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce.

ORANGEL TORRES MOLINA

Director of Passport to Peace Foundation

Director of Passport to Peace Foundation , co-creator of the Passport for Peace Program , with more than 20 years of experience as a teacher and facilitator of programs and workshops in the fields of Pedagogy, Family and Prevention in both Venezuela and the USA. . He served as Regional Coordinator of the School and Family Prevention Programs of the Broward County Public Schools for Hanley Center and; Member of the Interdisciplinary Commission on Prevention Programs of Broward County – United Way, in Florida, USA. Co-author of working documents for the Inter-American Congress held in 2003 in Chile, Inter-American Confederation of Catholic Education –CIEC , author of several materials published by the AVEC, Venezuelan Association of Catholic Education in the areas of pedagogy and family. Collaborator in the adaptation and translation of Dr. Greg Brigman’s Program –Student Success Skills, and the Roots and Wings Program of Hanley Center.

NICOLE CAMPANELLA

Director of Passport to Peace Foundation

Member of the Board of Directors  of  Passport to Peace Foundation , a certified psychologist graduated from the University of Florida, with a Master’s and Ed. S. degrees obtained in school psychology from the University of South Florida in the US, has a large More than 15 years of experience serving children from preschool through high school in public schools in the  Broward School District, one of the largest School Districts in the US. Ms. Campanella has spent her last 10 years between private consultation and serving as a facilitator of the Passport for Peace program, in different schools and educational centers at the level of the United States; He is an active member of the Broward County School Psychologists Association, since 2012 he is a member of the District Commission in the area of ​​Securities promotion, currently serves as a school psychologist for Broward County public schools in Florida , USA, married and mother of two children aged 8 and 9 who fill their lives with laughter, challenges and love. 

JOAN BOYER

Member of the board of Directors

With more than 26 years of experience as a teacher and coach in the areas of reading and literacy for schools in the School District in Broward County, Florida in the US, One of the largest School Districts in the United States of America, Ms. Boyer is a graduate reading specialist at Florida International University, holds a bachelor’s degree in primary education from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania, currently serves as a coordinator in Reading of the Wilton Manors IB World School of the prestigious internationally recognized program  International Baccalaureate / PYP, in Florida, USA Ms. Boyer is certified by the US National Board Certified Teacher, is Vice President of the Alpha Pi Delta Kappa Gamma chapter  , a brotherhood of professional women, married for over 42 years, two daughters and six grandchildren.

LYNN GUELZOW

Member of the board of Directors

A member of the Board of Directors of the Passport to Peace Foundation , he currently serves as Bethesda Healtcare Volunteer Services Manager at Boyton Beach and OneBlood, Inc., in Lauderhill, Florida, USA, Ms. Guelzow is a graduate in education from the University of Florida, she has a long history in more than 25 years of experience as an educator for Palm Beach County public schools and in the implementation of a prevention program in the areas of alcohol, drugs, tobacco and bullying for several counties of both the east coast and the west coast of the State of Florida, in the United States of America. Ms. Guelzow has been one of the pillars in promoting and implementing the Passport for Peace ProgramAt the level of public and private schools throughout the US, for more than 13 years she was Director of Prevention and Education at Hanley Center,  is a member for more than 17 years of the American Lung Association, married and Mother of four children.

Currently serves as Human Resources Manager at Berkowitz Pollack Brant, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.
